Your personalized plan is our process
We work with our clients on a personal basis to address their personal needs and goals. We use the term “process” lightly, because the most important parts of your financial plan don’t easily follow a rubric. Your plan is your plan, solely.
That said, these key steps in the development of any financial plan provide some insight into what you can expect.
Discussion
We will start out by getting to know you and your goals. We’ll ask questions and describe how we might be able to help. In addition to discussing the rivets and bolts of financial planning and investing, we provide a sense of what it would be like to work with us.
As money touches nearly every part of people’s lives, working with a financial advisor is a closely personal process. We aim to create long-term relationships with our clients, so an important part of this stage is feeling out if our styles align.
Creation
Once you’ve signed on as a client, we’ll work with you to design a financial plan that suits your needs. Investment strategy is a part of most plans, but plans can also include a variety of quality-of-life services, risk management policies and other vehicles that support philanthropic or wealth transfer goals. Through this conversation, we will provide multiple options based on your risk tolerance, timelines and liabilities.
Implementation
Once you have agreed to the plan, we put it in practice, opening new accounts, making trades and generally running through the checklist.
Management
With your plan implemented, we will continue to review your accounts and investments, providing updates and hosting meetings based on market conditions and your preferences. If your priorities change, we’ll meet with you to discuss how your financial plan can be adjusted to accommodate them.
Meanwhile, we are here for you, to address issues both large and small – a constant advocate for your financial and personal well-being.
