University of Iowa Dance Marathon
Each year, the University of Iowa Dance Marathon, a student organization, remembers, honors and celebrates the lives of children who did not survive their battles with cancer. The 24-hour event has students raise money to provide year-round support to young cancer patients and their families.

A cancer diagnosis is stressful on its own. For people under 39, cancer care and treatment comes with added challenges related to issues like fertility, education and post-treatment transitional care. This key program helps alleviate these challenges, working on a case-by-case, individualized basis.
Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois
For families of children with severe illnesses, the Ronald McDonald House provides housing and other types of support near children’s specialty hospitals throughout the country.
Iowa Mission of Mercy
Dental care is an under-addressed need in the charitable landscape. The Iowa Mission of Mercy brings oral health professionals from across Iowa and the nation to provide low- and no-cost dental care to people in need.

More than a roof and a bed, Shelter House works to help people experiencing homelessness change their trajectory, receive the targeted help they need and work toward self-sufficiency.
